SUBMITTING MUSIC TO KIWI FM
Kiwi FM plays 100% New Zealand music. We proudly champion existing and emerging Kiwi talent.

We listen to everything sent to us - demos and full releases. Everything we get sent is assessed on its merits.

We consider everything for airplay in our general programming and specialist shows. If your track isn't suitable for general programming it will be considered for -
I.A.N. - Fleur Jack's Indie/Alt/New show (weeknights 7-9)
Voices From The Wilderness - Dave Thiele's unsigned artists show (Sun 2.30-3pm/Mon 2-2.30pm)
We also have hip-hop, drum & bass and dub/roots specialist shows.

Do take the time to listen to Kiwi and know where your music might fit in. This website has information about our programming and shows.

Address submissions to the Music Director. Some artists send material direct to announcers. Do that if you want to - but make sure at least one copy is clearly sent to the Music Director. That is the only way to guarantee that your material will be considered for general airplay.

Some specific requirements -

1. Please don't send download links - for a number of reasons our systems can't cope with them. We do require a physical copy on CD (not memory stick or DVD).

2. Clearly indicate the name of the act and all track titles. Your music is important and poorly packaged and illegibly labelled CDs do it no favours at all.

3. Do send us a press release with background information as well as what you're trying to do. Make it concise and easy to read. Try to resist the temptation to over-hype - it just creates impossible expectations. If you're that good we'll hear it in your music - you shouldn't have to tell us.

4. Do indicate key tracks/singles that you would like us to consider in particular.

5. We will consider demos/unmastered material - but think carefully about whether your recording is as good as you can possibly make it before you submit it.
